Large fluctuations in weight on a daily basis

Does anyone experience big weight fluctuations in a day? I know some fluctuation is normal but sometimes I swing up and down by as much as 12 pounds! I drink a lot of liquid so it's not a change in hydration I don't think. I've never been able to find a pattern.

I will also fluctuate by several pounds occasionally from one day to the next and back again.

How much do you weigh? 12 pounds seems very extreme.

My daily fluctuationare generally between 2-5 Lbs depending on my sodium intake, workout, and beer. The heavier you are, the more your weight is going to naturally fluctuate. Also, are you weighing multiple times per day or just once? At most you should weigh once per day at the same time and under the same conditions with the same scale. If you're weighing multiple times per day, you're weighing a lot of food and liquid that you are consuming...yeah, that stuff weighs something and doesn't just dissapear when you eat it...also waste.

    I wouldn't weigh myself everyday...try once a week or once a month.

your body will naturally fluctuate. Golden rule...weight loss is never linear.

12 pounds is a lot, I agree with getting a new scale (or changing the batteries).
