TTM about Insanity

I've done 30DS and liked it. I have a hard time going that long though. Can I work my way up to the full Insanity workout, stopping and starting as needed?

Insanity encourages you to stop and take a breather as needed, then jump back in after a few seconds. Very few people could do the full routine at full intensity without needing to stop occassionally (even the pros in the videos stop from time to time). Take breaks as needed.

There is a free video (http://www.doctoroz.com/videos/shaun-ts-miracle-15-minute-workout) of Shaun T on the Dr. Oz show (meh) that gives you a small taste of Insanity. It's shorter and not as intense as the actual Insanity workouts, but it gives you a feel for the style, so you can see how you like it.

FWIW, I tried Insanity, but it had a high dread factor for me and was torture for my messed up ankle.. I like a combo of alternating days of lifting and cardio better, but I do throw in that 15 minute workout I linked above sometimes after weights if I want something to quickly get my HR up.
