Eating due to stress

I work from home and my kitchen is 10 feet from my office.... everytime my mind wanders (alot) I head right for the kitchen..
Seems likes snacks clear my mind for the minutes I am snacking ... How do I break this bad habit??

  • Try chewing gum or sipping cold water. Take a small walk around the house or down the street for a few minutes and the cravings should be gone.
  • Herbal or fruity teas!

I find lemon and ginger really helped me when I was properly on the wagon! :)

walk instead and get fresh air....exercise lowers stress you just need to change your energy into walking it off and thinking instead of eating....If you drink alot of water you will feel full to and not want to eat.

I also work from home but this is not an excuse I use, if I was tempted to use it I would make it a rule I could snack whenever I want so long as I burn the calories first with some exercise, that would help me decide if I really wanted to eat the snack or not!

Maybe try a pitcher of flavoured water in the fridge?

I love lemon/lime or orange with a bit of vanilla extract.

    Or apples with cinnamon.

I brush my teeth when I have non-hunger related cravings. Doesn't always work...but it usually helps.
