Hello everyone, I didn't go over my calorie intake today but I did go over with sugar. I never have processed sugar but today I ate two pumpkin poptarts. I plan on working out soon but how will my body take with so much sugar in it? it hasn't had this much sugar in years. I have only had 1400 calories ( I can have 1600) so I shouldn't worry about my weight right?

That's correct. Unless you have a medical reason to do so, do not worry about tracking sugar.

  • if you've avoided sugar for a long time you'll likely have a crash and feel tired or like me dizzy, but other than that you should be fine.
  • I feel I should feel guilty for indulging myself but maybe since I didn't go over my calories I feel fine :) though I do want to work out, those poptarts really made me bloat!

I limit my sugar to 28 grams a day and I have seen a big difference in how I feel but I guess not everybody is willing to curb their sugar intake. It is a personal thing I guess.
  • I was told by my dietitian to cut out sugar. I did and lost 130 pounds. So it's not normal for me to eat or drink sugar.

My morning coffee usually puts me over my daily sugar limit. I just ignore it.

as long as you are in daily calorie deficit, or maintenance, then I would not worry about it.
