Diet - Am I doing this right?

Hello there!
So I'm on my last 5lbs and I'm wondering on opinions if what I'm doing is correct. I'm no nutritionist or personal trainer so I'd love some insight.
I'm currently 5'5" and 120lbs. My ultimate goal weight is 115lbs and tone up/gain muscle. I exercise 5-6 times a week, a combination of HIIT cardio, steady cardio & a little bit of strength training. I do cardio for 45 minutes then strength for about 30.
My typical diet
Breakfast: 1 banana, 1 egg
Snack: 1/2 cup beans
Lunch: 2 cups green salad w/ 1/3 can tuna, 1 hard-boiled egg
Snack: Apple
Dinner: 2 cups steamed or grilled vegetables, 3 oz. lean protein
Does that sound like a proper diet for the losing the last 5lbs/lean muscle gain? Thanks all x

Honestly it sounds like you're not eating enough... if I add that up it comes out to around 800 calories, if that. If you do any exercise, or even if you don't that's not much.
It will work for a while for weight loss, but if you try to go back to maintenance you'll probably gain weight back.
If you've been trying to lose for a while (more than 10 weeks) take a diet break at maintenance for a week or two and let your body rest, then try a cut again, but I wouldn't get that low.
It's your choice but at the end of the day you might end up impeding your progress.0 -
I agree, it sounds far too low.
Eating such small amounts will burn muscle and lower your metabolism making weight loss harder. The exact opposite of what you want.
At your weight (why oh why do you want to lose weight?) I would maintain and slowly do more weights so you toned and very slowly lost fat. I think 5 lbs would take about 10 weeks doing it that way, but so worth it.0 -
Your body can vary 5 pounds in a day. So at what point are you going to decide thats the 'Ideal weight' Breakfast or tea time?. As others have said concentrate on exercise and eat at a maintenance level you'll get better looking results and wont need to starve yourself for some magic number0
