So I read a lot about people saying they eat low carb/low fat/low sugar etc..

My question is this.. what is low carb intake? Low sugar intake? Low fat intake? etc... Is there a magic number? Am I low carb if I eat less the 150 on a typical day? Are these numbers just made up???

I just always go by the percentage of total calories.. and try to hit them. i have no idea if they are high or low.

I was just curious. I'm almost always low on fat personally. This week is a terrible exception to how I normally eat. Someone told me I was low carb last week and I just don't know how they decided that.

"low carb" really has no definition. Part of the problem is with with sites like MFP and others recommending a pretty high carb level, lower carb that the base recommendation really isn't low carb. For me, I would say low carb is <100g/day at a minimum, with true low carb being <50g per day. Personally, I try to stay under 25g of carbs per day, but I am crazy.
