On The Road Again!

Hey Gang!! While I'm not new to this site and my fitness journey started 5 years ago, losing 65 lbs 118 inches. I began running, became obsessed with it really, playing and coaching softball, and working out. On February 23, I slipped and fell, breaking my tibia in 3 spots and fibula in 5. I underwent surgery that day and am the proud recipient 2 plates and 15 screws. I was told that I would more than likely never run again. Yeah, I mentioned above that I was obsessed with it.... Well, after 9+ months and another surgery to remove 2 of the screws in my ankle I'm starting to work out again, though not running...YET!!! I have been given a clean bill of health and am expected to be given clearance to start training for my 2nd Ragnar Relay, which is a 200 mile, 12 man team endurance race. My goal is to run the 2014 Great River in August. Would love to hear ideas from those whom have experienced serious injuries and getting back on the road...Again!
