Fitbit and incline trainer??

I been using my incline trainer and love it..... I can not run as much as I like due to knee and joint issues but by adding incline I get a great burn and maximize my fat burn while walking. My incline trainer goes up to 40% kicks *kitten*!!

But the problem is on total steps with my fitbit are lower because I am walking at a slower speed. But my work out intensity is great. Sucks to see smaller step numbers. but I guess it can't be perfect. Better than high numbers and a weak workout.

Anyone else share these issues??

Well, I just have a pedometer and am always disappointed in the numbers after doing the treadmill. At 21% it kicks my butt - but the steps are low. Kind of painful lol

That happens to me with the elliptical. It registers the steps, but it doesn't see how hard I'm pushing with the incline and resistance so I don't always get a good calorie burn, or the right activity minutes. We know in our hearts we killed it :)
  • I take my fitbit off when I do hill intervals. I put the treadmill calories in manually, then let the fitbit adjust.

yeah i kind of think of it as a hidden calorie burn in my favor!!
