I am on my fifth month of trying to lose weight and I have hit a brick wall mentally. I have lost 32 pounds and feel so proud of myself, but this past week I have converted back to my old ways  I have not worked out all week and I keep talking myself out of it. I actually lost a pound this week but I feel like crap. I feel like crap because I am eating lots of crappy food. Grrrrrrrr, sorry just needed to vent!

Nothing wrong with taking a break now and then. Look how far you've come in 5 months!
You could gain two more pounds and still have lost 30 pounds in 5 months. That's over a pound a week! HOLY CRAP!!!!

That's an incredible pace. No wonder you're having problems maintaining it. Take a break, reset for a pound a week weight loss, and keep making progress.

Everybody gets knocked down. Winners get back up. That easy.
  • I totally get it, I think we all probably understand. I'm in a similar place, but my MFP friends are helping me stayed motivated. You are doing a great job, relax and then regain your hard work and dedication that has gotten you this far. Good luck

I'm with you too- I'm just so OVER it.

I'm guessing even though you're in a slump, you're not fully in your old ways- just knowing the difference is progress. Not sure what advice I can give to help get back into it, because if I knew... I'd do it too! Be proud of your accomplishments, look towards new goals, and this too shall pass.

You are probably starting to get bored too. Find a new class at the gym or new machine or exercise. Go online and look up some fun new recipes to try. I love going to the farmer's market and finding a fruit or vegetable I never ate before. You can do it.
