-1 Calorie??

Hey,

My tea from this morning was -1 calorie...

I'm not complaining, but shouldn't it just say 0?

Does anyone know why this would happen, or what other beverages/food have negative calories?

Thanks!

Sam

Not sure if you realize this but many of the food database listings are created by members and may not be correct. It's best to verify against food labels whenever possible.

It was probably created by some idiot who thinks the caffeine in tea makes it a "negative" calorie food. (no offense OP, it's an old diet myth)

There are no negative calorie foods...some people think there are...like it takes more calories to chew and digest celery than there are actual calories in the celery. Sorry, it's just not true.

^^This. Water is the only 0 calorie food and nothing has negative calories.

Definitely sounds like a user entry gone awry. I had an issue hitting my protein macro until I realized my chicken entry was user submitted and didn't have any nutritional info lol. Gotta watch out for that stuff
  • Thank you guys!! It seemed way too good to be true
