What is better, working out longer and burning less calories or burning more calories but doing a more intense work out in a shorter amount of time?
For example, I did 25 mins on the elliptical and burned 330 yesterday
today I did 30 mins ( 15 on bike, 15 on elliptical) and burnt 280

How did you measure this burn? Obviously if you're just looking for calorie burn the elliptical alone was better because you burned more in the same length of time which means you worked harder. Part of that is that the bike takes less effort to pedal because you're sitting.0
