Introduction for Hall of Fame Inductee
I'm not sure where to post this, and Google hasn't been a ton of help in figuring this out. My sister is getting inducted into our high school athletic hall of fame, and she asked me to write the speech introducing her. The only directions I got were "As a presenter, we ask that you give some historical background of your inductee's accomplishments. As an example, you may want to give some insight into and stories of the inductee. We are looking at a guideline of 5-10 minutes for your speech."
I was wondering if I should mention her various awards and honors in high school, college, and beyond related to athletics? That's what I figured I should do, but then started to second guess myself. I've never listened to a hall of fame introduction. Has anyone else? Even if you haven't and just have some ideas, help would be great!
P.S. Who wants to listen to an introduction speech for 5-10 minutes?!
