Over in fat and protein

This topic has probably been repeated too many times, and for that I apologize.

I have had a profile for awhile but just recently started tracking regularly. I have been at it for 10 days now, and have been keeping within my calorie limit (1200/day) but am way under in carbs, and over in fat and protein almost everyday. I have read a lot of comments about not tracking the macros, just calories; However, I'd appreciate any advice from the community at large.

Thanks!

If you are a more typical person, going over in fat and protein (especially if it is MFP's default protein) is almost certainly the best "mistake" you can make. At 1200 calories (which I think is too low for a functioning human being, honestly), you are going to need ever precious gram of protein and fat you can spare. Carbs, unless you play sports and/or train for them, are not strictly necessary (protein, in a pinch, can be broken down for glucose requirements--but nothing can become an essential amino acid).

And if you are active, you definitely should not be eating 1200/day.
