I'm 18 and haven't had a period since last October and had blood tests and all hormones are normal, just due for a scan soon. But if my hormones are normal I'm not at risk for osteoporosis etc so if I'm quite happy not having my period they can't make me go on the pill to bring it back can they?
I've heard that you can be fertile but have no periods, so infertility is not a worry and I'd rather adopt anyway.
But, what would you do, would you just get on with it and enjoy not having to worry about pads. Etc?

Did they tell you why you weren't having periods? Any clue to it?

Not sure about any details about bringing you back on the pill, that would probably be a question for a gynae, or infertility, but I am 28 and I dont have kids. Maybe one day. But if I had to find out I was infertile I would just first find out why, see if there is a health related issue to deal with and get on with life.
What the point wasting it wishing and hoping for something you cant have, I agree with you on adoption. There is something powerful about realizing well if I want kids there is always a way: this I realized when I turned 26 and didnt have my planned for child at 24:grumble: Thank goodness I didnt just jump into anything! For now Im happy being a sparent (spare parent) to my brothers son! Kids are awesome!
Good luck though on everything, I think you should really see a gynae though, get all the details. There must be a reason, are you underweight?

I'm guessing you're underweight or workout like a fiend. Nobody can "make" you take medication. You still have a uterus if you don't have periods...doesn't mean you're fertile per se. That requires ovulation and whatnot, and it doesn't appear that you're doing that. Whether you want your own biological children or not, I'd be concerned about not having periods and at least want to know why.0

I'm actually not underweight and don't do anywhere near enough exercsie to lose my periods.
Tuesday thursday is 90 minutes of stretching and aerial silks (not really hardcore just messign around)
Friday and Sunday is 90 minutes hard climbing
sometimes i might walk on the other days
definitely not even low body fat either since i recently put on10lbs fat over the summer!0 -
Have you had any blood work done to check for iron? My daughter is almost 18, has rarely had any periods, and we were told over and over it's normal. It isn't. I pushed for tests and she has a blood disorder (can't remember the name) where the red blood cells are abnormally small and she will be anemic for life even while on medication for it. Her hormones came within the "normal" range as well, so it may be worth having your blood count done.0
