Spot reduction accidentally

Over the last few months, I have lost about 10 pounds. Apparently all off my butt. My hips went from 35.5 to 34 and everything else went down 1/2 inch. EXCEPT my waist, which despite looking and feeling way smaller, it the same size! Anyone else have this phenomena? I can pull my pants off over my hips but my belt has not lost a notch!

Hips 35.5 - > 34
Chest 34 -> 33.5
arms 10.5 ->10
calfs 12.5 -> 12
waist 29 - > 29

When people say "you can't spot reduce," they mean you can't control which area you'll lose fat from. Some people will put weight on first in their hips, others in the abdomen, others in their thighs; presumably it's controlled by your genes. In my experience, the first place you add weight will be the last place you lose it from -- kind of a LIFO (last in, first out) process.
