Fighting Back the Bulge

It is a very small victory compared to the amazing and dedicated people who have posted before me, but today I celebrate fighting back the bulge. Last weigh in I was finally down twenty pounds (after 2 months)- a milestone as that is all of the weight from my second pregnancy eradicated. Trading in my size 18 for 14 gave me so much joy, not because of the number but because of what it represents to me: I have finally committed to myself. I have taken control of my life instead of letting it spiral further. I traded in short term losses for long term gains. I found health and I will not give it up. My journey is far from complete (80 lbs to go!), but I had a moment of contentment that I just had to proclaim to the world.
