hungry

So a week and a half ago I started "dieting" I am stopping when my body says I'm full and making better food choices. And it is working so far. But these past 2 days I have just been hungry all the time. I eat my 6 times a day. Ada small meal 3 times then a snack in between and a few hours before bed. I don't know if it's my body saying I need to eat more because I'm need food or if it just wants more food cuz that was what it was used to for the past 5 years. So is this normal I gues is the main question.
