how to calculate excercise.

hi I was wondering if we count working all day as exercise, or is that figured in with when you do your profile, I put relatively active , so do we just type in anything extra we do for that day, thanks anyone who can clarify this for me,

No, if it's something that's part of your normal daily life, it does not count as exercise. You should, however, account for that in your daily activity level (sedentary, lightly active, active, etc).
Exercise is something you go out of your way to do, something you don't normally do in your everyday life.

If it didn't help you lose weight before you started the fitness regime, its not going to help you now.

When you set up your account you chose the level of activity that your job involves. That covers all your normal activity for the day in your budget. You log only intentional exercise, going for a run, Zumba class, 30 DS, whatever you do for an extended period of time specifically for fitness.

Just a note to be sure you are honestly picking the activity level suitable to your job. I would have chosen at least lightly active for mine but when I started wearing my Fitbit I discovered I really fit into the sedentary category.

I have just changed my settings to sedentary. I got a bit confused as I am logging every thing, including butt clenches.

You only cheat yourself if you exaggerate calorie burns to get more to eat. Just eat more if you want to. You aren't fooling anyone but yourself.
