I think it's a good idea. I also don't think there's anything wrong with this thread, or anything wrong with being considerate.

It is refreshing that Beastmaster is at least making an attempt to be respectful. More of that should go on in human communication in general.

    Yep.

    Also agree!

A teacher trying not to be offended!
Apologies. Its just a profession that occasionally forgets that other adults aren't students in their classroom.

    LOL, this is funny

But that stethoscope is hawt! :)

We've been over this...spelling "hot" as "hawt" is an instant denial!

but I wasn't really looking at the stethoscope ;)

Watch yourself buddy! I am a teacher as well...but I am the type of teacher who still believes in giving out spankings as punishment for bad behavior. :)

This is funny... I have four requests sitting in my queue, because I don't accept male MFP's (for a variety or reasons) I sent each one a nice note explaining why I was not accepting their request. However, I cannot bring myself to click Decline... it seems so mean... :/. So they just sit there..... A No Thank you would be easier for me to click on than a DECLINE! lol

LOl, I have 17 in my queue right now. Some of them are males and I do the same thing by sending them a nice note. However, I noticed that if I declined them, some of them just requested again, so I leave them on there so they can't keep sending requests. ( I agree that it would be nice to have some sort of marking when you have FR'd someone already)

Now, to be honest, one of them stays on the queue because he is young with some hot abs! I know he FRs everyone and is probably selling BB, but it does this old grandma's ego some good to see his pic on my list! :blushing:

well if you annoy em enough they can block you. The responsibility is on the recipient of the request

I usually add anyone until they start to bother me. Then i just delete them.
  • I disagree. One the second denied request the recipient should be granted a Public Shaming button.

    lulz

I accept everyone and just delete anyone who I deem weird or stops logging on or doesn't ever talk.

I rarely send out FR, but I actually really like this idea.

I asked in my profile to add a quick note with request. If a person did not bother reading through my profile and send a request without a note, I do not accept that request. But what if someone read it afterwards and says shoot, forgot to do that! Disabling the button so there are no repeat requests would not allow this person to resubmit. I think it´s a bit too strict to disable request button. I don´t assume someone is a stalker, unless it becomes apparent. I also remove everyone who is not active on the site, and doesn´t communicate daily. So this is not an issue for me, I guess.

Just press deny then forget about it. What's the big deal?

I don't even know what good friends are on MFP. I understand they can post on my profile or something, but I never read that stuff anyway.

That is exactly what I do! I just don't feel good about declining, so I just let them sit there.

I wish mfp would have a "politely decline with a 'no thank you' message" option, so that the person who has been denied knows their FR was at least received. And It's not just sitting in someone's queue. Because sometimes the FR doesn't go through.

I usually friend everyone that sends me a request. Then I get rid of them when they send me messages asking me how to give oral sex or telling me what they would like to do with my breasts.
