Any vegetarians on a good healthy weight loss diet!?!

I've been veggie since I was eight and still don't really know how to do it properly, so I'm pretty much tired and snappy (not to mention peckish) a lot of the time! Can I take a peek at anyone's food diaries? Would love to have some fellow veggie friends for support. :)

I am not a vegetarian, but I do eat mostly plant based foods with animal proteins served on the side a few times per week. I eat a lot of fresh fruit, and then I gain inspiration based on what is included in my produce delivery every other week. This week I had butternut squash, so I made a recipe I found that is butternut tofu curry. It is really good. Try planning your meals around what you find locally and in-season when you can. You will be surprised at all the new things you can try!
  • Thanks! I'm planning on ordering a veg box which is a start, seems like a good idea.

Do you eat dairy or eggs or are you vegan?

I rarely eat eggs, never have cream, don't drink a lot of milk at the moment. I regularly eat cheese and yoghurt.

I would suggest considering consuming more eggs (not a ton, just enough to get your protein up) and more yogurt. This might help you with your snappiness and tiredness (as you mentioned in your original post).

Feel free to friend me and take a look at my diary. If you have any questions about the recipes I've used feel free to ask.

If you're feeling tired and snappy you're may be low in iron. Make sure when you're eating plant-based foods that are high in iron, you're having vitamin c with it.
