Polar FT4 calorie tracking?

Hey all,
I just got a Polar FT4 HRM with chest band and tested it out by doing Kenpo X (which is part of P90X).
I'm 26, 143 lbs, and for this 1-hour workout the watch estimated 645 calories (average heartrate 145).
That sounds like a lot of calories, isn't this a little too optimistic? Also, since my daily requirement is 2000 cals. If I'm doing a 1-hour workout, should I in principle be subtracting 2000/24 = 83 cals for a total of around 560?
Thanks!
