Newbie on a mission

Hello
My name is Iris and I'm basically new to dieting, loosing weight and gym excercing. Any advice would greatly appreciated. If I can find gym for dummies it would be great cuz I am a dummy going to the gym. I am happily married with 4 beautiful children and work 40+ hrs a week. I am determined to go to they gym 3x a week for at least an hr. I have goined planet fitness in Brooklyn ny. I love it but I need guidance in how to even begin a workout.
