sugar

Just wondered If there are any diabetics who feel "guilty "??when the healthy fruit puts them in the RED!!when they filling in their days food diary,!maybe there cud be a seperate column to distinguish between the refined sugars and the natural fruit sugar!, wot do think? Maybe MFP will hear this,:-)

    I'm not diabetic, thank goodness, but quite a bit of my family is.
    I'm just glad I didn't get to the point where I was borderline, either.

    I've been wondering this myself. They're not very.. Open about their diabetes and look at you as if you've said a curse word when you bring it up, so I'm curious.

    My husband doesn't. Heck, he doesn't even feel guilty about the refined sugar he consumes because he understands that diabetes is not about sugar intake, it's about carb intake. But if it bothers you, swap out the sugar and track something else like fiber or calcium.
