If sugar is a trigger for you or if sugar acts adversely in your body, yes, avoid it. Sugar has no ill effects for me as long as I'm within my calories and I believe that will be the majority of what you'll read people saying to you here. However, sodium has a major toll on me (where as with other people it doesn't have such major havoc) so I happen to watch my sodium intake. Perhaps you should just keep your sugar intake down. :-) I hope this helps you!

Personally I watch my sugar intake because if I eat too much sugar, pasta, flour, bread or rice it hinders my weightless. So my suggestion would be if you lose can lose weight and eat sugar go for it, but if it makes you gain weight avoid it.

Not only do I avoid sugar, but I also avoid sugar-free foods because they usually have artificial sweeteners and added fat.

Processed sugar, perhaps. But if you eat an apple or a banana on here and log it you are already over the limit.

just limit your carbs. by all means, avoid sugar as best you can, and all its cousins but just manage the carbs and you'll be ok.

Unless you have diabetes, there's no reason to be "careful" of sugar. Hit your macros, hit your calories. Period.
