Lost elasticity in chest area? (female-ish question..?)

Hi all. :flowerforyou:
I've lost a little over 40 pounds since January, and I feel great! But.. Isn't there always a but? lol I've been a bit of a yo-yo-er.. especially in middle school, and I think it has taken a huge toll on the elasticity of my "girls," if you know what I mean. I am still a "C" cup, but I am very bottom heavy, and cannot fill out a bra correctly for the life of me. I even broke down and got fitted at Victoria's Secret.. The right fitting bra helps.. but I am still a little shocked at how much my breasts have suffered from gaining and losing 10 pounds here and there for so many years.
It's not something that controls my life. I don't hide my body and I still will wear a bikini with no real issue, but I do wish there was something I could do. I know there isn't much, other than upper body exercises that target the pectoral muscles. I work and go to school and have so many more important bills to pay that getting surgery isn't an option, plus I don't know if I would ever choose to spend that much money on something so cosmetic.. Maybe if it were cheaper. Plus I'm scared of being put under... huge issues with loss of control. That alone would probably keep me from doing it, even if I did have all of the money in the world.
Do any other ladies find themselves tilting their head in the mirror? It's nice to know you're not alone. :frown: :ohwell:
Don't get me wrong - I know there are way worse things! But I find myself curious what I would look like if they were "fuller" all the way around and weren't so bottom/inwardly heavy... more full, I guess?
If anyone knows of any "magical tricks" I would probably give it a whirl.. Maybe just for giggles, if nothing else! Guys are welcome to give tips too! I know there are changes in all skin elasticity from weight loss/gain.. so it's not just women who suffer sometimes..

I'm also bottom heavy in the breast area and for a long time struggled with filling out a bra properly too. I was going to Victoria Secret for a long time but was walking away with bras that I'd end up hating because they'd gap or something. I broke down and went to Nordstrom to be fitted and was told what SHAPE bra to get (I'd been getting the right size the whole time, but the wrong shape). The woman who did the fitting told me to steer away from the demi cup or anything that isn't "triangular" on the top (something like this http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/natori-jacquard-underwire-bra/3133277?origin=category instead of this http://www.victoriassecret.com/bras/all-collections/push-up-bra-fabulous-by-victorias-secret?ProductID=153185&CatalogueType=OLS) . It seriously has helped me find bras that actually fit right, and as a result, look much better under my clothes. I also find that avoiding too much push up padding keeps my breast shape looking normal. Some is fine, too much leads to awkward spilling and gapping.0

Thanks. I'll have to look into it. :happy:0 -
I don't even have boobs left. My D's are at best B's. I wear push up bras to help mine appear bigger and perky, otherwise they look like sad wind socks.0

Wind socks.. lol. I've never heard that before. :laugh:0 -
The right bra is your best friend. Take it from this 43 year old mom that's gone through engorgement multiple times plus was morbidly obese! I do miss perky, but when in the right bra, it's fabulous and only my husband knows the truth, lol.0

I sure do wish I knew a magic trick for the girls! I think they are the only part of my body that I don't really like... I'm still breastfeeding my LO too. Once I stop then they will look even worse I used to like them so much! But after gaining and losing... I really don't enjoy them out of a bra lol. I don't think I ever will to tell the truth, at least without surgery.0

There are bras that are designed more for bottom heavy breasts and it makes all the difference in the world. A knowledgeable fitter at a high end department store should be able to help you.0

Boy, can I relate to this thread. My boobs are smaller than they've ever been and completely deflated. Between my two kids, I breastfed for a total of 4-1/2 years during my late 30's and early 40's, and I knew there'd be issues when I lost the weight, but I never expected it to turn out quite as bad as it has. I doubt there is any help for it besides surgery, which I'm really not willing to get. I did find some bras that fit well in at least making them look perkier and one that is heavily padded in such a way as to at least allow me to get away with a little cleavage baring in a dress (I'll take fake over none!). No bikinis for me ever again though, I'm afraid!0
