Tell me about your scales!

I want to get a new scale. Would like one that integrates with MFP and I just ordered a Fitbit zip so was looking at the Fitbit Aria but there are somewhat mixed reviews on Amazon so now I'm not sure it is worth the price tag. If you have an Aria, do you like it? If not, what do you have and why do you like it?

Thanks!

I have an Eat Smart scale off Amazon. It's been incredibly accurate and you just step on it. I too have considered the Aria, but I just like the Eat Smart, even on days when it doesn't like me so much. The wireless updating to the fitbit dashboard on the Aria is intriguing, but I've heard it was difficult to get it to sync right. The price is a bit steep for me as well!

well, my scale lies to me often. Its a good scale. When I work hard and don't lose any weight, it sends me flowers and we make passionate love at night.

We have gone through a lot to get to this stage though. My scale used to abuse me. Calling me fat and hitting me too in the bathroom. It liked hitting my toes when I try to pee at night. But we have come a log way and now I think we're happy.

Thanks all. I ended up going with an Eat Smart scale. Thanks to the glory of Amazon Prime, it should be at my door the day after tomorrow!
  • I recommend no scale at all. I removed the battery from mine and currently weigh myself at the gym every few days. I am hoping to change that to weighing myself once a week, then once a month to see how my eating habits will change.

Anyway, I do know a lot about scales and electronic ones are usually more accurate.

I got Eat Smart scale as a gift to myself when I hit 30 pounds - I actually bought it because the company seems so legit. It's been working perfect for me - bone density measured the same as in the doctor's office, and I checked it for accuracy with a 20 weight. For those of you that have had problems with it, try contacting the seller on Amazon - it looks like they're more than happy to replace faulty items.
