Calories burned during workouts

It seems like mfp is pretty generous with the "calories burned" for certain exercises. Has anyone else noticed this? I am wondering if, to be on the safe side, I should stay below my calorie limit, or under record the time for each workout? Any ideas on this?

MFP over does it for most things I've logged compared to my HRM. I don't eat exercise back to it isn't a big deal but I think you could get into trouble by accepting those numbers.

MFP is extremely generous with their exercise calories. I use an HRM now to be more accurate.

Thanks! Any recommendations on a good HRM, and how much they generally run, cost wise?

    Polar HRMs are great.
