edited September 2024 in Introduce Yourself
This is my first time on this website! So I guess I'll introduce myself..
My name is Lindsay from philly, a college sophomore at UMBC! :)
Ive always wanted to lose weight I just never stick to anything long term, I lose the first 5 pounds and I'm happy.
Now I am starting to grow up and become more determined.
My current weight is 155 on good weeks or 160 on bad weeks :( Im shooting for 120!
Umm I go on all those fad diets and such and realize those only work for a little while.
My goal to lose this weight is to just start eating healthy and then slowly incorporate exercise. I bought a whole bunch of whole grain/wheat stuff this week and am planing to stick to it.
I guess the main thing I need is motivation cause I get bored quick.
So if anyone has any tips, suggestions or just wanna talk don't be shy :))

    Hello Lindsay,
I am new to this site too. Your post can almost mirror mine....except...I'm a bit older than you! I'm 44 years old, mother of 4 and grandma of 2 :-). I also weigh 155lbs., but I'm only 5' 1''. My goal is to get down to 125lbs. I get bored easily too, but I'm really pumped about this site and my new routine. So far it has helped me keep on track with my calories. Excersing is very important...so start walking. I get 30-50 minutes at work during my lunch break, just walking around the hallways and going up and down the stairs. Every little bit counts! My husband is very active and runs marathons, so I am also going for walks in the evening with him when I can. He has told me that after I lose my first 5lbs, he is going to have me start to jog. He wants me ready for a marathon in October and the big Houston/Chevron marathon in January next year. Let's encourage each other and we will both reach our goal!
