Anybody Juice vegetables?

Good morning all my fellow MFP ers,

I bought a Breville Juice fountain a few weeks back and started to juice some vegetables to get more into my system. I still eat a wide variety of greens, yellows, oranges etc. I'm currently enjoying carrots, celery, red and yellow peppers, cilantro and jalapeno for breakfast. I tried to make the mean green and to be honest it was one of the nastiest tasting things I've ever had. So with that being said, what are some of your more enjoyable juices that you enjoy that I may be able to try. So far i'm down 5.5 pounds by just juicing once a day and eating vegetables all day long.

Thanks and have a great day.

I don't have any recipes, when I considered juicing I realized right away that it wouldn't be sustainable for me. I chose instead to just eat sensibly, but not restrict. I always like to suggest that you think long term. Can you do this for a lifetime? Either way you have done a great job losing over 5 pounds. Good luck!

Adding a banana or an apple usually sweetens any juice right up and makes it taste great.

^This. I agree with this. I just have a fruit/vegetable juice here and there to fit in extra fruit/vegetable servings. I find it comparable to having a glass of store bought juice, but it is much healthier and lower in calories. However, juicing should not be a lifestyle or a diet plan by any means.

I make a juice daily....it's not the tastiest thing I could drink but due to medical issues I can't eat many veggies and have major malabsorption issues, juicing seems to help.

I start with a base of 2 carrots, 1 apple, 1 lemon and either celery or cucumber. Sometimes I add kale/spinach/lettuce, oranges, peppers (small amount) beets, sweet potato etc. Or I blend the juice with a banana or berries to make a smoothie.

The thing I've noticed makes the biggest difference is the temperature of the juice...warm juice is gross. It has to be cold.

We make enough for both my husband and me at one time -

    2 cucumbers
    Bunch of kale
    1 lemon
    1 lime
    4-5 carrots
    6-7 stalks of celery
    5-6 apples

We've tried lots of recipes but keep coming back to this one. Sometimes we will throw in an orange or a pear to the above mixture

I drink this juice in addition to my regular intake of food - I don't eat any fruits and vegetables so this is how I get my daily intake.
