Are there any cookbooks that state the number of calories with the recipes? I'm pretty lazy so this would be great if I knew how many calories were in the recipe before I make it?!

I also like to be able to plan ahead so would be handy.

The Hairy Dieters cookbooks show calories and also Jamie Oliver's new "Save with Jamie" book has all the calories & nutritional info :-)

Those numbers can be way off, depending on the brands of foods you use. It is best just to enter the recipe into the recipe tab under food so that you know the calorie content from what you use at home.

For example, I have seen some Cooking Light recipes almost 100 calories per serving higher from ingridents I have used, and I have seen it go the other way as well. Just a heads up.

Find a cookbook you like and use the recipe builder on this site. Then you can make notes in the cookbook on the recipe pages so you will have the information right there next time.

Cooking Light's cookbooks all have the info, & I've never had a bad recipe from them. But you can also find a lot of recipes on their website without buying a cookbook. But if you want a print cookbook, then here's the link to one of their recent ones that has over 400 recipes...

Yeah, I too have found this. I actually find it more satisfying entering the recipe on MFP!

    Happy cooking!
