A weekend miracle?

So I did not exercise for 3 days (somewhat of a record for me). That is due to 1) injured my foot in a kickboxing class (not even on a kick or anything, just during footwork exercise) and 2) I have no bathroom -- major bathroom repair put my shower out of commission and I can't run if I can't shower afterwards. So a bad combination.
However, I did go out.
Day 1: for an italian dinner (pasta and pizza) than 2 GIANT cones from the Big Gay Ice Cream shop, beer, yuca fries. Basically, a giant binge.
Day 2: My son's 3rd birthday -- 3 slices of heavy cream laden cake, full dinner, breakfast and lunch as usual.
Day 3: Donut, usual lunch, large 1,500 dinner and a yogurt snack.
And all of that with no exercise. And the scale shows.... I'm still at my lowest weight! Now how does one explain that?
I am delighted, of course. But really, how? I'd love to be able to recreate this.

Sometimes like sticking to the same exercises, the body adapts to a strict lifestyle. When introduced to something new, it reacts differently (like doing a new exercise and getting sore). Some chalk it up to carb refeed after a long bout of dieting. Of course I know if you continued to eat that way, weight regain will end up being the result.
