Sick Remedies?

Anyone have any remedies or recipes for a cold? I've been fighting this cold going on 5 days now... I feel better than I did the first few days but still have a cough, runny/stuffy/dry nose, and weakness/fatigue. I've beein downing chicken soup and vitamin c-pumped smoothies... I've tried dayquil/nyquil, zicam, cold-eze and alka-seltzer. Nothing seems to be making much of a difference and frankly I'm sick & tired of being sick & tired :P

I like sleepytime tea. They have one for colds and "extra wellness"

    Feel better!

If you are looking for supplements, find items with Zinc (Cold Ease), vitamin C (Emergen-C packets are good). Ginger, ginko baloba, rose hips, and echinecea are also natural remedies. And honey is a natural antibiotic/antiseptc. Make some tea, get some rest, and eat simple high nutrient meals. Feel better soon!

I was sick for almost 2 weeks and finally took 2 days off work and slept. Almost 20 hours in 2 days. Felt so much better afterwards. Sleep can do wonders for illness.

    Hope you feel better soon.

It's not fun being sick, but the more you fight the symptoms, the less benefit you get from all that your body is doing.
Better to drink some water, eat a lightly as possible, and REST.
When you rest, your body can put its energy into getting better, even if the symptoms are awful.
