So, I was hoping someone on here could explain to me actually WHAT happens when you lose weight? Where does it go? I've looked it up on the internet and there are a lot of big scientific terms that I just don't follow. (I'm an accountant--never did so good in Science). I used to just assume that it was flushed out of your body in the toilet. I think I read we exhale it though. Can someone dumb it down for me?

Not the most knowledgeable, but from what I understand the basics are when you intake food/calories your body burns them as fuel. If you have a deficient in your caloric intake, your body will have to use what it has on hand fat/muscle to fuel its self. I do not think the weight is transferred out of our body in a physical form but most as an energy. Just existing burns calories. Think of a car the gas is turned into energy through combustion, there is some waste but not the main of the fuel.
