I'm on my last day for my first week of insanity and my dumb behind decided to weigh in. I'm up 2 pounds but that's not what's bothering me. I measured as well and only an inch off each thigh. Idk i guess I'm expecting to much to soon. I've been eating roughly 90 carbohydrates and around high 1400s my diary is open please look and give feedback. Thanks

I also gained 2lb the first week, but still lost in inches. The second week I lost 2lb and then at the end of the 3rd week I drop another 8lb. Don't concentrate too much on the scale. If you are doing the workout correctly and are eating sensibly with a deficit, then the weight will eventually come off. Stick with it. It is worth it!0

I agree ...
I'm in the 3rd week of Phase 2, so been there done that! The first couple of weeks I actually GAINED an inch to my thighs and the weight loss was veeeery gradual. During - i think - week 3 of Phase 1 my metabolism finally caught fire. It was easier to operate on the diet and I didn't feel as "weighed down" during the workout. To date, I'm down 12 pounds and have lost about 2 inches total to waist, hips, and thighs.
Keep at it, don't lose hope ... it DOES take a while for your body to "catch up" and to know what you want it to do. ALWAYS remember, muscle weighs more than fat. If the scale shows 2 pounds lost but you're working as hard as you can on the sessions, you're actually losing MORE than 2 pounds of fat because you're replacing some of it with lean muscle.
Around the end of Phase 1 I went and tried on a pair of jeans I hadn't been able to fit into and was surprised that they were loose. I hadn't LOST much weight but I'd been converting it to tighter, leaner muscle instead and that was making the difference.
Stick with it!0 -
First, you should get rid of the Vitamin C tab in your diary and track Fat.
I would also change your macros, you are not getting enough protein. Adjust your macros for 40% Protein / 30% Carbs / 30% Fat
Would it be possible to know your age, weight and height??0 -
im 24 165 pounds 5'20

I gained weight the first month - but lost 18lbs the second. Try not to weigh yourself so often... it will work but the program is 60 days for a reason.
Also, food for thought, the insanity nutrition guide recommends you eat a higher ration of carbs... maybe you should play around with your macros and see if it makes a difference. I did the 40/40/20 whilst doing Insanity.
Lastly - well done for getting through the first week! Keep pushing play and you will be amazed where it can take you!0 -
Just wait until the end of the 2nd month0

You lost an inch in a week. If you did that every week you'd be in great shape0

An inch in a week is really amazing actually! So like many other people here, I didn't lose a pound my first month. In month 2 I lost 17 lbs. It's weird and frustrating to wait, but the results will come.0

I gained two pounds starting Insanity as well. I know to stick with it though and it will come off. You keep with it too!!0

I gained #3 the first month of Insanity - lost that #3 and a couple more - not much weight loss, but did lose several inches0

When I did it I did not lose much he first month either, but I lost inches. Mid way through month 2 my arms where getting ripped and the pounds flowed off. It felt like in month one I lost fat and GAINED muscle, then in month 2 when I was capable of more cardio I lost more fat than muscle gained.0
