Should I use a pre-workout before a short cardio session?

Right now, I do fasted, HIIT cardio in the morning for about 20-30 minutes and do weight lifting at night. I use C4 Extreme when I'm doing my weight lifting but I'm wondering whether I would benefit from also using it before my cardio. Would it just be a waste of money to use it before cardio AND before weight lifting or should I do it for both workouts? Thanks!
