Weight Training at a caloric deficit

Hey guys,
I have recently started going to the gym and have been doing weight training. I have also been keeping myself in a caloric deficit along with intermittent fasting. I was wondering if I would still gain strength in my muscles and also lose weight ? I understand I wont be building much mass in my muscles if any however I was hoping for the first few weeks to just build strength.
Is it possible ? thanks for any replies

Yes, if you are new to weight training or returning after a layoff, you will be able to increase strength while eating in a deficit. Just make sure you are doing a progressive load program and you are good to go!0
