Hi everyone,
I decided to post this here because the people that I see giving/getting advice in this forum are the kind of friends I would love to have! I have a few very supportive friends on my list but about half of my list are friends/family that don't necessarily share the same goals as myself. I copied my profile blurb in here because I think we need to be friends before you can see it. Please read and FR if you like! Thanks

I love to have friends to support and who support me as well. I love to get and give advice. I am new to weight lifting and I try to eat 'clean' or 'Paleo' but I hate to label my 'diet' because I have had bad experience with labeled diets.
After having my first child in 06/2011 I hit my highest weight of 220. I am an elementary music teacher and composer. I have been at the weight loss thing for my whole life. I remember going on weight watchers with my family when I was only in the 5th grade. I have learned unhealthy habits from myself and others like binging off emotion and dieting the wrong way. Something clicked last year and I lost a lot of the weight through cutting back calories, eating mostly paleo, and running a lot! I completed my first marathon in May 2013 and finished in 5:30 min. I am currently training for a second marathon for 2014!
Recently my goals have changed. I used to want to lose weight because I wanted to be not fat. Now though, I know I am not fat but I want to BE sexy lean and strong. I want my daughter to have a role model in me for every part of her life. I am dedicated to this journey with my body and I am proud of what it has accomplished so far.
I am starting to get into weight training. I am confused and intimidated by it but I know that is the next step in my roadmap. I love to help others and encourage them when they are feeling down. There are bumps in every road and we all deserve a helping hand to get through.
Why I want to get in shape
I want to be a good role model for my daughter and my students.
I am a super happy and positive person and I want to feel that way about my body too
Be Sexy
Feel Strong
Age Well
Find solace in a good workout
Love the gym instead of fear it
Inspire those around me to do the same

Hey there -
You're message board topic popped up in a google alert that for Paleo Training. I use this online paleo trainer called Mammoth Hunters and I think it would be a good option for you. The workouts are short and based on high impact interval training. There's no need for weights of the gym, you use your own body weight to perform the exercises. You can sign-up for a package and do the workouts anywhere and they don't take more than 20 minutes. Seems like you are busy with a young baby, so this might be ideal for you.
Here's the link for the website in English:

Hope this helps! Good luck with your training!!

I'm not paleo but you are welcome to friend me!
I mostly do barbell lifts these days Read "starting strength" a couple of months ago and decided I wanted to be strong more than I wanted to be big, and I was quite taken with his explanations of form.0
