a while back my friend forced me to go to this class called zumba. i didnt wanna go wasnt into the whole dance aerobics thing untill... i got started..
i absolutley love zumba.. the creater "beto" was a genious when he made the classes.
well i bought the dvd set "basics, cardio party, sculp & tone, plus flat abs", i cant decide which is better. i love the classes, but the dvds are convenient cause i dont always have time for class. does anyone know which you burn more at?

it depends what the class is teaching you. my mom teaches basic stuff and when i do it i barley sweat but when i do the dvd i sweat alot. But in the class you tend to be more motivated and have fun with other people and all so yeah.0

It depends on the effort you put in
I would say a combination of both would be perfect - the class to inspire / invigorate you and the DVDs for those days when you can't get to the class for whatever reasons.
I think the group feeling in a Zumba class is really energising!

Just my personal opinion: Personally, I'm a huge proponent of classes as they really inspire me to work harder. If you get a good instructor (and I know a couple) their enthusiasm is contagious and you really get into the workout without feeling like you are working out. Also, you have pretty much committed yourself to that hour, which when I do ANY exercise by myself, I tend to wimp out about halfway through.0

I use the dvds..and I work out every day with them and I sweat a ton! I love them as well..I've not taken an actual Zumba class, but I don't know that I will..while I love doing Zumba, I have a feeling that I would feel like an idiot dancing & shaking my hips in front of people I dont know lol0

I LOVE ZUMBA TOO I am going this morning to class. I would say most people like getting out and doing classes and it inspires them to work harder. I would say do both and put 110% in it when you do it. Remeber you get out of it what you put into it. If you dont have time for class do the DVD and if you do have time do class. Mix it up. If I could find a good Zumba dvd I would add it to the collection of my workout dvds. I mix it up with classes, dvds and going to the gym. You have to do what works for you.0
