Firstly i wanted to say that for me, my body has been fighting me m whole life, i'm not obese and i've only scaresly been obese, but maintaining my weight has been a battle ( as i explain in the long essay towards the bottom of the post, sorry!)

Jillian Michaels has been inspiring to me as she has done what most have not been able to, make me happy. I'm happy to be aching, i'm happy to watch my caloric intake, i'm HAPPY. The 30 day shred is, as she says, 3 steps medium, mudium-hard,Hard. For me 20 mins isn't enough to lose weight and get results in 30 days, but it is brlliant for a daily plan.

I have toned up and i have really seen definition in my stomach, i'm on week 3, my last week and i'm sad about that, but my journey isn't over yet.

My weight loss journey from 2008 – 2013.
I have had ups and downs, I have been as heavy as 11st 4 (158lbs) and as low as 9st 2 (128lbs).
I have been happy I’ve been sad I’ve been ill but all of those things were not done right, yes, we can all lose weight quickly by eating 1000 calories for 2 weeks, then binge eat for 1 and gain more weight then we started at.
---
I wanted to share my story online, somewhere that it may help someone else in being who they want themselves to be, not what society tells them. I have been bulimic, I had seen a photo of myself (wearing a purple dress looking at my baby nephew (2010) and realised I did not want to be that person anymore, I was unhappy and unhealthy without realising it. I then tried to diet for months, I tried doing hiit workouts whilst eating rubbish and nothing worked. Bulimia did, bulimia meant I could eat what I wanted and not gain weight (not immediately anyway).
I used to eat normally through out the day whilst doing vigorous exercise and would throw up my evening meal, it became routine and sneaky. Something that was my secret it felt like a part of me something I could control.
Eventually I would become lethargic and not exercise I would then see I had gained weight, get depressed and binge, the cycle would start again. Ten months went by and I had finally realised I was becoming ill from it.
Eating 1200 calories of healthy food was something I then took on, I could do it and not have negative effects, but it isn’t helping my heath or social life, counting calories isn’t a way to go.
---
Foods you eat should be part of your day, not your life. You shouldn’t need to know how many calories those grapes have in them, eat healthy and exercise well and t should be enough to shed fat.

-Jillian Michaels is the first fitness regime I have ever, cried, sweated, shouted at, it is the first thing I have been happy to wake up and WANT to exercise I WANT to improve myself.

So please follow me through my fitness journey, I will update new photos as I go through the ‘30 day shred’ and share some pearls of wisdom I have learned throughout my journey.
