Underestimating workout cals

I usually work out an hour every day (this last week and a half the exception because of a sinus cold) and I try to get three days of strength training and four days of jogging.
My jogs are for an hour and I usually go about 5 miles. My strength days are lighter weights in circuits to keep my heart rate up.
I keep reading that we never burn what the calculators says, so instead of entering an hour of jogging into MFP, I enter an hour of brisk walking. This usually cuts the calories burned by about half.
For the circuit strength training, it is harder to calculate. But from what I have researched online, I am supposed to be burning about 800 calories in the hour workout (I am 6'1, 275lbs, 39 yrs old) because I do not rest in between sets and keep my heart rate elevated. I only enter about 400 calories in MPF.
Is this good practice?

Don't bother adding weights in terms of calories burned. Think of it as a bonus.
I play doubles tennis for 2hrs a week. I only add in one hr as there is no way to tell if I burn 430cal an hr without a heart rate monitor. But either way I don't are. I got in good shape.
I never log work out calories.
