I can't break 230. Ive been stuck here for 3 weigh-ins (every friday.) I'm frustrated Ive been busting my *kitten* and changing my food choices to healthier options. I realize my 2nd week at 230 was just a hold due to stress, lack of exercise and poor food choices the week prior. Please help. I only have 2 months and 3 weeks before I need to fit into my bridesmaid dress.

My diary is open for opinions, but is a little bit of a mess because I added 3 snack catergories today so I can keep track of when I am eating them and it adjusted my whole past diary.

I just went through about a week of your diet. Perhaps you could try cutting back on your sugars a bit? I've noticed you go significantly over most days...

I noticed you are not tracking sodium but from what I can tell a lot of the choice you are making I would assume are high in sodium, which makes you retain water. I would also try to add fruit and or veggies as snack items instead of some of the items you have been eating. Good luck.

Personally I think your eating too much. I would never be able to lose weight with the amount your eating and I weigh more then you.

I swear its all psychological, people always get stuck on mile stone numbers, I have been stuck on 171 ever since I started saying I can't wait to hit the 60's.

Well, your sodium is high ( I say as I don't track mine.....) but the one thing I'm noticing every day is the whole-wheat mini-bagel. I don't know why, but bagels are the devil. Even when their nutrition content seems to work out.... they're just evil.

Try pulling that from your breakfast and replacing it with a piece of Milton's toast. See how that goes. I've recently found that I can do breakfast just fine without refined carbs. I wouldn't have thought so before, but protein and fruit seem to do it most mornings (there are some mornings that just must have carbs and I've chosen to respect that.)

I think, calorie-wise, you're just fine. Under-eating is a surefire way to dissuade your body from long-term change (see the article I posted the link to last night).

How are your measurements? My weight isn't moving much atm, but my body does seem to be re-shaping. Hopefully, any moment now, it'll do that magical fat burning thing everyone's talking about, but so far, just the muscle building.

We'll do this! I'm thinking of doing a spinning class on Sunday... maybe you might try one too?

I see that you are now tracking your sodium. Isn't it scarier than hell to see how much sodium is in something that doesn't even TASTE salty?? I am concerned for my sodium intake almost more than calories.

Drink more water than usual, and you might see some changes, as long as you evaluate your sodium. I would try to substitute the mini-bagel with possible a low calorie bread and have toast instead. I love Country Kitchen Wheat bread. 70 calories for 2 slices and the sodium is 190 for the serving (2 slices).

I hope this helps and I also hope it doesn't sound too "preachy'. Good luck! Stay positive! : )

I agree mini bagels just may be the devil, I know their larger family members are pretty evil. I'm just such a bread person. I love BREAD. I love fresh made breads of any kind...sucks.

I do need to start paying closer attention to my sugar intake. I know its super out of wack. I just need to find a good balance.

Have you considered just going cold turkey with the bread products and getting more whole complex carbs? It will be rough for a few days, but honestly, I think it may be worth it for you in the end. Give yourself a goal of a week or so ~ something manageable ~ and see if you end up with a different scale number. Even if you are a really busy person like me, I find it easy to make a batch of brown rice or quinoa or barley to put into the fridge and nuke as I need it. Whole, real food makes a huge difference I have noticed.
