Diet changes for YAYOG

So I have lost about 30 pounds counting calories and doing cardio, I eat around 1200-1500 calories and I eat back exercise calories. I did some research and decided it was time to work on building muscle and gaining strength, and not worry about the scale. I got the YAYOG app and I am on the first week and I am exhausted,. I need help with diet. I am so used to eating so few calories and I know I need to change what and how I eat if I am going to do this workout I just have NO idea what to do, and I need it to be simple. Any suggestions?

When I was doing YAYOG I ate no less than 1800 calories. Most days I was closer to 2200. I gained a lot of muscle endurance and strength and still lost fat.

Without seeing your diary I would suggest to go full fat in your dairy products. Yummy and full of protein.
Protein, protein, protein. It should be 1 g of protein for every pounds of lean mass you have.
Fats an easy and fast way to up calories and very good for health. Nuts are a great source.
Up your calories slowly, and be ready to see the scale jump up, it is not fat, trust the process.
    Rest.
