How do I conquer the cravings?

Everyday after a healthy meal, especially after lunch or around 3pm, I get the worst craving for something sugary like candy. I try eating a sweet, healthy snack like an apple, but it never truly suffices. While I have been fighting the cravings, they have yet to go away and they make me kind of miserable since I try not to fulfill them. What are some tricks to get rid of the cravings?

Eat a Fuji apple (very sweet and delicious) and eat a banana with a tablespoon of peanut butter spread on it.
Drink a hot cup of tea and a big glass of water.
Make sure you are eating enough nutritious calories-plenty of fresh steamed veggies with olive oil and spices and enough protein.0 -
Sugarless gum.
Or a boiled egg.0
