a word of warning

Yesterday was my deadlift day. Kind of a mismatched leg day.
Anyway, i warmed up and started trying out my max. I only hit this max a week ago, so i wasnt really surprised when 2 reps was enough on all three sets.
Then i moved on to squats, where my max is determined by how much i can clean and press that day (motivation, i say!). My power clean improved by 5lbs, and i was still able to blast out all kinds of squats, lunges, snatches, and thrusters.
Finally, my final set was to be 100# over my bodyweight-deadlift for reps. I think i ended up with 37?

Feeling quite pleased, i showered and headed out the door to a dr. Appt. One in which i knew i was getting an injection.

In my upper glute.

Which was already getting sore.

Needless to say, it hurt like hell. Today, the injection site is a lovely shade of "holy sh** what happened?!" Purple. I am laying on my stomach because i cant find a big enough pillow to sit on.

If you KNOW you are getting stuck with a needle that day, be smart. No upper body if it goes in your arm. No squats if it goes in your glute.

Learn from me. :C
