Daily activity setting

I'm wondering what to set as my daily activity setting and can't decide between sedentary & lightly active.

About me: I'm a housewife with 3 kids: we walk to school every day, I walk the dog rounds the fields daily and also walk over a mile to the village at least once day. I've recently started running every day following the C25K programme and I usually go for a 5-8 mile walk on saturdays geocaching.

Wonder what you guys think I should set this to?

Either put sedentary and log every single bit of exercise you do, or choose lightly active and monitor your calories in and weight accurately. If you do the latter and you are losing more weight than you should then you are more active, and if you aren't losing enough weight then you are less active.

I have mine set at sedentary even though I waitress 2-3 times a week and have two young kids to run around after. I figure that extra calorie cushion created by daily life exercise will help if/when I forget to log something or underestimate portion size. I would rather have a situation where I'm ok to go a bit over my daily allowance rather than always being worried and having to try to stay strictly under a daily allowance.
