Need Kid & Friendly Dinner Ideas!

I have two kids, one is 10 the other is 8 - they aren't particularly picky eaters and will eat just about anything, or at least try anything...I am trying to lose the weight, but am finding myself stuck in a carb heavy diet. I have some qualms though:

1. My daughter is underweight, on ADHD meds and on a strict weight gain diet
2. My hubby can't have extra salt in his meals - I don't even have salt in my house, instead I use herbs to season all foods
3. I am allergic to seafood

Any suggestions would be helpful! I really am not one to want to cook two diff. types of meals, one for them and one for me...

I still do mostly the same types of foods as I've always cooked, only try to make them a bit healthier- lower fat cuts of meat, less cheese, etc. I still do bread, pasta and rice, just not quite as often as I used to, or in smaller portions than before.

Stir fry veggies with meat or chicken- what we had tonight!
    Grilled meat and veggies
Taco salads (or other salads with protein on them)

Some similarities here. I have an 11 year old ADHD child, but she is overweight, a 10 year old boy who is very thin and a husband who must also avoid added salt. We do a lot of grilling - all year long. That's the easiest way to satisfy everyone. I will throw veggies and fish on the grill for me and my husband. The kids like grilled chicken or hamburgers and they will eat some of the veggies.

We also do tacos periodically. The kids like them and I make a healthier version by using ground turkey, portabella mushrooms, etc. I will sometimes eat the taco insides without a shell. I will also roast a whole chicken and make veggies and brown rice - which everyone will eat.

They also like breakfast for dinner, so I will make eggs with turkey sausage, which everyone eats. Hope this helps.

Certain ADHD meds can suppress appetite (along with raising BMR, since some are stimulants) ... Just make the same stuff you always make, but add cheese/butter/bacon (you get the idea, make her portion more calorie-dense) to her portion ...

Try switching to sea salt, there is some evidence that suggest it doesn't really impact blood pressure as much as previously thought ... BP is more of a genetic thing (for instance, I lick my finger and stick it in a pile of salt and eat it like sugar (which I do, I am a salt freak, I can go through an entire pound of Himalayan salt in about 1 1/2-2 months BY MYSELF) ...

Ground meat (chicken, lamb, pork, beef, veal, bison, turkey, etc. ...) is a very versatile protein source, as are eggs ...

You said "allergic to seafood" ... Do you mean shellfish? .. because if so, you should still be able to have fish-fish (like tuna, salmon, shark, swordfish, snapper, tilapia, etc.), just not crustaceans and mollusks ...

My hubby is on a blood thinner for an artificial valve he had implanted in his heart in 2005 (he was born with a heart defect, this is a more permanent repair to his valve issue) and because of the blood thinners he can't have added salt - so like I stated I don't actually have salt in the house LOL!!

All fix, tuna/shellfish, etc irritates my tummy to no end LOL! So I avoid it all...

And yes it's her meds that have made her appetite low, so we've tried adding to her portions, adding dessert/snacks right before bed, she's on the right path.

And I don't eat ground beef - does the same thing to my stomach as tuna and seafood, so when I make tacos I actually grill myself a chicken breast and make chicken tacos instead of beef.

    Do you guys have recipes?
