The dreaded closet....

Even though I have been losing very slowly now for the last three years I have finally lost 25 lbs and decided it was time to get in my closet and start trying things on that I have been trying to not look at, forever.
I am SO happy ! 23+ items are now far too big and nearly that amount now fit perfect.
And then I have the "pretty soon" pile.
Most the too big things, still have the tags on them ! Because when I bought them they were too small, I was dreaming.
I have a friend that will be in heaven when she receives my latest give away bag.
MFP has really helped me over the last hurdle and made a world of difference in the last 6-7 lbs.
So just wanted to share my news with those of you who also have a "dreaded closet".
Hang in there, it will happen.

  • Congratulations on having a roomier closet space.
I looked in my own closet yesterday, and found some once-unwearable Size 2X items I had put aside a while ago.
They fit snugly, but they are able to be worn.
    Victory!
Best wishes on making more room in those 'right now' clothes AND in your closet.

Awesome loss!! I love my closet for this reason though :) I have things hanging in the front that fit currently and the clothes get smaller as they go back into the closet. I love moving things to the front and narrowing that "too small" section. It's a definite inspiration to keep going as the clothes are already bought they just need to be fit into!

The closet purge is a great feeling. The shopping for new stuff that look and fits better isn't that bad either. Congrats!

Good NSV :) I also have to start actually going through the closet after a few more pounds, I'm actually kind of excited to see what I will be able to fit into now!
