No excuses. Long term, I want to be healthier. I want to have a healthier relationship with my body, I want my future children to have a healthy relationship with their bodies.
I joined here about 2 years ago. I stuck to a strict 1200 calories for a few months and lost a few lbs. I realised that it wasn't enough for me, and I wasn't actually burning, but storing. I tried lots of things, different variations, more exercise....
In the meantime, I suffered an injury that pretty much stopped me from doing a lot of physical activity. I'm currently in the process of recovering from the corrective surgery
Im at my heaviest I have ever been, and it scares the bejesus out of me. I've tried the low-cal, but sick of it. Help...

do low cal.......not stupid low though. Just be sure that your calories burned per day is higher then your calories eaten. BOOM....that is all.0

You can do this. I lost the weight and started drinking a glass of wine here and there. Now I find 10 lbs back on and clothes that don't fit. I want to stop the insanity!!! I have committed to no drinking as it leads to eating more. We can do this.

I would log and track your food, sticking to the calorie intake MfP says with light to no activity. The accountability of logging your food truthfully is a very large component of successful weight loss.0

I agree 100%!!! I maintained for 6 months weighing myself every morning, logging food and exercise. I stopped doing this and on came the 10 lbs. I know the daily weighing is controversial but it keeps me from shoving things into my mouth as I know I will have to face the scale. I am ok with the occasional 1-3 lb sudden gain from water weight. I need to watch the trend coming down or staying the same.0
