what is a reasonable two leg wall sit time?
Has anyone tried one legged wall sits? What is a average time one should be able to hold a one legged squat. I can't hold a one legged wall sit for more than a few seconds. This is one the of exercises my physio had given me and was part of one yoga class too.

You'll just keep improving as you gain leg strength. I don't think there's any special time to aim for, just keep increasing your personal best.

I do leg pulses- and usually will do 25 per leg- so that's still holding up wtih one leg- no touching with the other one- between 1 set of 25 each leg- and the 25 lb weight in my lap- I feel like 1-2 minutes is okay.

I've done upwards of 10 minutes with the 25 lbs in my lap.. why? I don't know- seemed like the thing to do on a Saturday.

Anything after 1 minute or two is going to be endurance.. or a novelty/brain discipline/mind over matter.

I do one legged wall squats in p 90 x. We do 10 sec on one leg then 10 on other.

Crap i still can't hold more then two seconds. I wonder if it is lack of leg strength or a combo of something else. My GF can do 10 seconds or more too.

Have a look at Utkatasana (yogas) for a variation on the same theme. Thighs as near parallel as possible but with back straight, arms overhead and looking up at your thumbs. Nice.

2 seconds on one leg I assume? It could be a flexibility issue. I would say at least a minute with two legs. I had a yoga teacher time a class for 5 minutes one time. He called it an "attitude adjuster".

Thank Carl. I'll check "Utkatasana out

Yes Yoginmary on one leg. I can just do one min 15 or so with two and I have trouble in class with the crescent moon type holds. I think your right and Flexibility contributes. I took a break from yoga but want to try again.

She can do one legged squats too and I just fall on my butt.. I can run faster then her lol. I can only barbell squat 155 is that part of it or not related.
