Do you get hungrier when trying to build muscle?

Yesterday I had a weight training session and really felt it this morning. Today I have eaten my maintenance calories and my eaten back my cardio exercise calories but I'm still sooo hungry. My stomach actually feels empty and is growling at me. Is it because I need to eat more for my muscles or what?

Your diary isn't open so it's hard to give feedback.
If you're hungry, eat more. Also make sure you're hydrated. Thirsty feels like hungry.0 -
For me, yes I'm hungrier post strength training.
With that said, if you're trying to build muscle you should be eating above maintenance anyway.0 -
I am always far more hungry the day after strength training. That being said, I always want to eat everything in sight that day and have to make a concentrated effort to make sure I'm eating healthy, balanced meals and not just what's closest because I'm hungry. If you're trying to put on muscle, make sure you're eating enough protein and good carbs to support it.0

After a heavy resistance workout I get absolutely ravenous  :laugh:0
